Killstar Spirit Bound Top
Hey kittens! I’m dropping in to review the spirit bound top by KillStar.
Full disclosure: I cut the lace off it, seen in pic two. Let me explain.
I got this in an xxl. For comparison I’m either an xl or xxl in Hell Bunny sizing.
The body is this top is a gloriously stretchy velvet, lovely neckline with lace detailing. It sits just on my hips which is great length for me.
The issue is with the sleeves. They have practically no stretch. They also aren’t what i would call long sleeved. I’m someone who always has to take long sleeves up and always have my cardigan cuffs turned up, so it surprised me that these sleeves seemed really “high tide”.
In my opinion, the sleeves aren’t scaled properly to a plus sized item where the body has a lot of stretch. As a result the sleeves don’t sit properly and the velvet part doesn’t sit properly. If I had sized up, the body of the garment would be too big.
So I cut the lace sleeves off and everything fits perfectly now haha. It’s a shame, because the sleeves are beautiful but there’s a problem with the sizing of the sleeves on this garment.
Would be fine for you if you have super skinny arms or don’t mind your arms looking like a bag of oranges
